Rui considers himself something of a revenge chef. Those that say it’s best served cold are simply lacking vision. Rui has served revenge a flambé, at high velocity, at room temperature, furry and with spikes, for some highlights. He brags about it regularly and is the hero of rowdy boys throughout the school. Anyone who is studious or female is almost guaranteed to dislike Rui. He causes such a fuss all the time. His robes are always in tatters and his black hair is always a mess. People say he’s dirty, but Rui says he’s just looking at the big picture.
Rui’s actually part of an elite pranksters club that engages in a year-long gag-war. His pranks aren’t just for spite, they’re for respect and recognition. He swears that some of the most famous magicians in the islands were part of this club and that if he does well, he’s pretty much set up for life. Needless to say, he’s always excited to dish out a good prank, it won’t even take much persuading. Criticisms and danger never figure into Rui’s plans because he’s got a larger goal in mind the entire time he’s pranking. He’s also a very good student as he takes learning from all his courses to add flavor to his pranks.
Ability: Revenge Connoisseur[]
Distasteful as others may find it, Rui considers dishing out revenge as one of life’s best feelings; with practice, he has managed to become well versed in the arts of Sabotage (+2), Playfulness (+4), and Practical Jokes (+4), although it puts him at a slight disadvantage when it comes to making friends (Befriend -2).
Clique Ability: Prank Enemy[]
Prank Enemy lets you (should you succesfully make a Luck/Practical Jokes Roll) inflict 1 point Decreases on a Choice of Character's Confidence and Composure for a week - while simultaneously setting him or her up for an official Reprimand from a member of the faculty. The resulting sense of alarm boosts his or her Danger Sense by one point as well, sure, but by then you're already walking away with clean hands.
Being friends with Rui da Casga means that you have a mentor in the dark arts of personal humiliation - just ask, and he'll tell you when to target a rival, how to set them up, and where best to position the angry pig in the imperial livery.
